To be self-employed is an unique experience, forced to have excellent self-motivation, self-managing and communication skills. To be on the bleeding edge of industry, I had a rule to make some part (safe enough) of solution a kind of laboratory to explore something new. For example: Support system for Alfa-Bank (russian top-10). The first experimental versions of WebRTC was used for video/audio-chat capabilities. The solution tremendously reduced office waiting time. It was based on ASP.NET MVC, SignalR, MongoDB, Redis, Knockout.js, Telerik KendoUI. US dentist social network Proflinks. Made and attempt to reuse Selenium UI tests for automatic video demos generation. Time spent on wrting UI tests also results in additional video artifacts, those are almost invulnerable to UI changes. Also used: ASP.NET MVC, SQL Server, FluentValidation, Knockout.js, NUnit, Selenium. E-commerce solution for LabMarket, the German labware seller. Experiment with semantic HTML markup and desktop-first approach for the mobile version. Results in a more than 2 times less bandwidth consumption. Google reported that average downloading time reduced from 500ms to 100ms. Also used: ASP.NET MVC, SQL Server, Angular JS, NUnit, Selenium, Lucene, SageOL integration. Totally around 20 projects were finished with customers from all over the world.

Besides development, got solid management skills and team build (up to 5-6 memebers) practice. Have finished around 30 projects. Some of them were: Top-10 russian RSHB bank big data processing, analysis and reporting project including web portal for this and further service integration. Have reduced processing time from 6 hours to less than 15 seconds. Used: SQL Server, ASP.NET WebForms, Crystal Reports, Excel SDK, Telerik UI, Web Services. Samsung Russia service portal. Provides total quality control for Samsung repairing services network in ~15 countries. Used: ASP.NET WebForms, SQL Server, XML/XSLT, GDAL/GIS. Top-3 russian tour operator VKO. Experience of large system development (200+ page of specification only). Uses: ASP.NET WebForms, SQL Server, TMS Reporting, XML/XSLT, ActiveX, Web Services.

It was the first experience to completely reorganize the software development process in small team (8-10 members). Have successfully integrated version control system, reusing, refactoring, code reviews, standartization and some other good practices. This team was working on highload projects (100+ RPS average, 1000+ peaks) of Business World publishing house. After reorganization codebase was optimized more than twice, including a lot of new features. Number of daily logged errors reduced from 3-5% to a dozens per day. Mostly used technologies: ASP.NET, SQL Server. Besides working in the team, automated HR agency (part of the BusinessWorld group) from the scratch as a sole developer.

Developed some complex web projects as a team member and a sole player. Most of them were developed for Lukoil (global 500 company and one of the largest russian oil companies) e.g. payment flow planning/analysis system (sole developer), oil products ordering system for regional dealers (sole), www.lukoil-masla.ru (sole), GAAP reporting (team member), top management portal (team member). Mostly using ASP, Delphi, SQL Server, Oracle. The first attempts to use .NET Framework 1.0 Beta 2 and SharePoint in web projects.
