SAP AP Expert, OCR expert, Expert in automating Process for invoice process. • Primary job responsibility of recording or processing invoices of Energy services operations of Halliburton companies across Eastern hemisphere, using SAP version 4.6. • Invoice processing included recording cheques payable to Halliburton vendors across the Eastern Hemisphere and in addition to posting the cheques to the general ledger accounts (GL accounts). • Invoice processing also included usage of a tool called Filenet, into which, vendor invoice receipts and cheques were scanned, and thereafter the images were linked to the SAP document numbers, for easy retrieval of information. • To ensure all the invoice receipts processed complied with the financial policies of the Halliburton Company and the Sarbanes-Oxley act of the USA. • To ensure invoice processing was in line with the RCTS (Risk Control Tracking System) of the company and the tolerance level of internal controls were zero. • After 6 months in the company, I was promoted to a team which verifies invoices through a tool called OCR (Optimum Character Recognition) process in accounts payables, wherein invoice processing resulted in huge volumes of invoices processed at a faster rate, which were then exported to SAP and the approval by the managers are done on-line and in real time, so the usage of paper work had reduced by a huge margin. • Was given the responsibility of handling the middle stage of the OCR process, where invoice receipts were required to be verified before they could be paid or coded to the general ledger accounts.
